What are Pilates grip socks?
Grip socks have textured areas on the sole, unlike ordinary socks with a plain fabric underside. They’re a familiar part of a Pilates studio kit, particularly for reformer classes. At Radiant, our rule is simple: no socks, no reformer. Bring a pair of grip socks for your class.
Can I wear normal socks to reformer Pilates?
Pack grip socks rather than your everyday socks. Ordinary socks don’t have the same textured sole. If you’re visiting another studio, check its own requirements before you arrive. Your instructor will guide you through foot placement and equipment use; the right socks are one part of being ready for class.
How should grip socks fit?
Our current Radiant grip socks are one size fits all, made from cotton and elastane. Choose a comfortable fit that keeps the sole positioned under your foot, without loose fabric gathering around your toes. If you are unsure about fit, ask our team before ordering.
Choose a cuff and colour you love
A classic ribbed cuff or a playful frill? Both have a place in a studio wardrobe. Choose the finish you enjoy wearing, then check the product photographs for the sole and cuff details.
